The Artists Regional Exchange (ARX) was a unique and radical exchange program between Australia and Asia. Running over five editions: 1987, 1989, 1992, 1995 and a three-part program in Singapore, Perth and Hong Kong across 1998/1999 the program has a longstanding and important legacy. The following articles include reviews of ARX, alongside commentary artistic reflection and contemporary considerations of this ambitious and unwieldy project.
